Iraq’s Ministry of Oil announced on Tuesday that the country exported a total of 101,630,925 barrels of crude oil in May 2025, earning $6.361 billion in revenue through the State Organization for Marketing of Oil (SOMO).
According to the ministry’s statement, crude oil exports from central and southern Iraq amounted to 100,365,335 barrels, while exports from the Gayara field in the north totaled 955,684 barrels. Additionally, 309,906 barrels were exported to Jordan under a bilateral agreement.
The revenue reflects the country’s continued reliance on oil exports as a primary source of income, amidst efforts to stabilize production and global oil prices
