Iraq is moving forward with key contracts to rehabilitate and develop its gas fields, which could shift the country from a gas importer to an exporter, according to MP Bassem Gharibawi. He noted that boosting production will meet domestic demand, reduce gas flaring, support electricity generation, and strengthen Iraq’s economic and energy infrastructure.
