Erbil – April 23, 2025 – Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), stated on Wednesday that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) has fulfilled its election promises and played a key role in ending the monopoly in the region.
Speaking to reporters, Talabani emphasized that no political party will be able to win more than 50 seats in the KRG parliament. He stressed the importance of a strong government that would serve the people’s interests.
"We have kept our election promises and ended the monopoly,” Talabani said. "Now, it is essential that we form a government that will bring hope to the citizens and be strong enough to face the challenges ahead.”
