Baghdad – Iraq ranks as the world’s second-largest developer of oil pipelines, following China, with a total of 4,100 kilometers in development by the end of 2024, according to the U.S. Energy Agency. Of this, 1,155 kilometers are under construction, and 2,855 kilometers are in the proposal stage, while the Oil Ministry continues efforts to expand offshore export capacity through a new pipeline project at the port of Faw.
