The Russian Consul in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Maxim Robin, paid a visit to Shaswar Abdulwahid Qadir, the leader of the New Generation Movement, to discuss the current political climate in the Kurdistan Region and the upcoming Iraqi parliamentary elections.
During the meeting, held on Tuesday, April 15, both sides exchanged views on the political situation in the region and the parliamentary elections scheduled for November 2025. The discussions highlighted the importance of democratic participation and stability in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
In a related development, a delegation from the Swedish Parliament also visited the New Generation Movement faction in the Kurdistan Parliament. The Swedish officials expressed their admiration for the achievements of the New Generation Movement, describing it as a progressive civil political force in the region.
