More than 60,000 people in Kurdistan Region have recovered from COVID-19: ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health announced on Sunday (November 29) it had recorded 304 new cases of the novel coronavirus infections in the Region over the past 24 hours.

A total of 105 of the newest cases were in Duhok governorate, along with 98 in Erbil, 72 in Sulaimani, eighteen in the Garmain administration, nine in Halabja governorate, and two in the Raparin administration.

On October 27, the Region recorded the highest single-day COVID-19 cases with 1,597 infections.

The Ministry also said fourteen patients had died from the virus, while 539 recovered from the disease.

According to the health ministry, there have been 96,201 officially-recorded cases of the coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. An official tally of 60,165 patients have recovered from COVID-19 and 3,132 have died from it.
