673 new coronavirus cases recorded in Kurdistan Region: ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health said on Wednesday (September 30) that it has recorded 673 cases of coronavirus infection in the Kurdistan Region over the past 24 hours.

A total of 297 of the newest cases are in Erbil governorate, along with 224 in Duhok, 92 in Sulaimani, 32 in Halabja, and 28 in the Garmian administration.

The ministry also said that twenty-four patients have died from the virus, while 430 patients recovered from the disease.

According to the health ministry, there have been 47,810 cases of coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. An official tally of 30,605 patients has recovered from COVID-19 and 1,749 have died from it.
