More than 10,000 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in Kurdistan Region: health ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health said on Friday (August 7) that it has recorded 413 new cases of coronavirus infection in the Kurdistan Region.

A total of 259 of the newest cases are in Erbil governorate, along with 93 in Sulaimani, 50 in Duhok, and eleven in Halabja.

The ministry also said that twelve patients have died from the virus, while 159 patients recovered from the disease.

According to the health ministry, there have been 16,497 cases of coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. An official tally of 10,002 patients has recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus infection, and 623 have died from it.
