SULAIMANI — The federal Ministry of Interior’s Intelligence Agency said on Friday (August 7) that its forces have arrested two Islamic State (ISIS) militants in Kirkuk governorate.

The Intelligence Agency said in a statement that the militants were wanted under Article of 4 of the Terrorism Law, adding that their cell had been operating on the outskirts of Yaji district in southwestern Kirkuk.

ISIS uses the disputed areas as a base of operations to attack civilian and military targets in Nineveh, Saladin, Kirkuk, and Diyala governorates.
