SULAIMANI — A fire broke out at the Kabartu 2 displacement camp in Semel district in Duhok governorate on Wednesday (August 5), damaging four tents belonging to Ezidi internally displaced persons (IDPs).

No one was hurt in the fire.

Camp Director Ibrahim Yassin told NRT Digital Media that the blaze was caused by an electricity fault.

“We are trying to secure necessities for the [affected families],” he added.

Kabartu 2 is located in western Duhok and hosts approximately 3,000 Ezidi IDP families.
