404 new coronavirus cases logged in Kurdistan Region: ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health said on Wednesday (August 4) that it has recorded 404 new cases of coronavirus infection in the Kurdistan Region.

A total of 218 of the newest cases are in Erbil governorate, along with 101 in Duhok, 29 in the Garmian administration, and twenty one in Sulaimani.

The ministry also said that eleven patients have died from the virus, while 160 patients recovered from the disease.

According to the health ministry, there have been 15,577 cases of coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. An official tally of 9,711 patients has recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus infection, and 597 have died from it.
