Kurdistan Region passes 10,000 recorded coronavirus cases: ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health said on Wednesday (July 15) that it has recorded 238 new cases of coronavirus infection in the Kurdistan Region.

A total of 73 of the newest cases are in Erbil governorate, along with 64 in Sulaimani, 45 in Garmian administration, 34 in Raparin, thirteen in Halabja, and nine in Duhok.

The ministry also said that eighteen patients died from the virus, while 78 patients recovered from the disease.

According to the health ministry, there have been 10,114 cases of coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. An official tally of 5,482 patients have recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus infection, and 370 have died from it.
