Kurdistan Region's coronavirus death toll passes 300: ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health said on Friday (July 10) that it has recorded 211 new cases of coronavirus infection in the Kurdistan Region.

A total of 118 of the newest cases are in Sulaimani governorate, along with 70 in Erbil, thirteen in Halabja, and ten in Duhok.

The ministry also said that eleven patients died from the virus, while 139 patients recovered from the disease.

According to the health ministry, there have been 8,937 cases of coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. An official tally of 3,211 patients have recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus infection, and 305 have died from it.
