SULAIMANI — The federal Ministry of Health said on Monday (July 6) that it recorded 1,796 new cases of coronavirus and 94 deaths in the country over the past 24 hours.

A total of 367 of the newest cases are in Baghdad governorate, 234 in Sulaimani, 183 in Dhi Qar, 138 in Karbala, 122 in Basra, 111 in Diwaniya, 88 in Najaf, 88 in Kirkuk, 86 in Muthanna, 73 in Saladin, 67 in Babil, 67 in Maysan, 61 in Diyala, 47 in Wasit, 31 in Erbil, sixteen in Anbar, fifteen in Nineveh, and two in Duhok.

The ministry said that 94 patients died from COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus infection, and 1,724 patients recovered from it.

According to the health ministry, there have been 62,275 cases of coronavirus in Iraq.34,741 patients have recovered from COVID-19, and 2,567 have died from it.
