267 new coronavirus cases in Kurdistan Region: health ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health said on Sunday (July 5) that it has recorded 267 new cases of coronavirus infection in the Kurdistan Region.

A total of 129 of the newest cases are in Sulaimani governorate, 31 in Erbil, 78 in the Garmian administration, twenty in Raparin administration, seven in Halabja, and two in Duhok.

The ministry also said that twelve patients died from the virus, including eight from Sulaimani, two in Erbil, and two in Garmian administration, while 172 patients recovered from the disease.

According to the health ministry, there have been 7,315 cases of coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. An official tally of 2,692 patients have recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus infection, and 252 have died from it.
