SULAIMANI — The Iraqi government
imported 36,000 metric tons (mt) of gasoline from China in December 2021, state
media reported on Tuesday (January 25).
The General
Administration of Customs in China confirmed Iraq imported the amount last
month, which is equal to 41 million liters.
December was
the first time Iraqi imports from China had reached this amount, according to
available data, making Iraq among the top five importers of China’s gas.
Pakistan
imported 398,000 metric tons of gasoline in January, Singapore 321,000 mt and
Indonesia imported 104,000 mt, followed by Brunei and Iraq.
