SULAIMANI — People in Kobane threw stones and shoes at a joint Turkish-Russian military on Tuesday (November 5) to protest the October 22 agreement between Moscow and Ankara that expanded the so-called “safe-zone” in northeast Syria.

Firat News Agency said that the incident occurred in the village of Qeremox, which is located 16 kilometers (10 miles) east of Kobane.

The protesters also chanted slogans related to jailed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Ocalan.
