Peshmerga member dies from wounds sustained in Kifri attack

SULAIMANI — One of the Peshmerga members who were wounded in the Monday night’s Islamic state (ISIS) attack in Kifri district died on Tuesday (November 30) after he was transferred to Sulaimani’s Shar Hospital because of the severity of his wounds.

One Peshmerga was killed and three others were wounded in the attack on the 2nd regiment of the 9th Infantry Brigade of Peshmerga forces on Monday night.

Earlier on Tuesday, a source who spoke on condition of anonymity told NRT that the wounded victim was transferred by helicopter around 3:00 a.m.

A source from the hospital told NRT that the health condition of the wounded Peshmerga was unstable.

The 33-year-old Peshmerga, named Yahia Adil, was from Tuz Khurmatu town.

On Saturday night, five Peshmerga members were killed and four others were wounded in an ISIS attack in Kalar’s Kulajo sub-district. One of the wounded members died on Monday.
